Children's centres have been developed to act as a central local community hub for both parents and the different groups that provide support for children
of a pre school age and their families.
These agencies or service providers can include various health and education services, day care facilities, a base for childminders and other family support groups.
Parental support can include links to the local Jobcentre, educational and training providers, links with higher education establishments, Neighbourhood Nurseries and Out of School Clubs.
The aim of Children's Centres is to help provide the best start in life for every child, improve opportunities for parents, provide affordable, good quality childcare and promote stronger and safer communities.
